A refrigerated flower vending machine, open 24 hours a day

A flower vending machine is a refrigerated, self-service cabinet that sells fresh bouquets and single stems around the clock. There is no cashier and no storefront. A customer looks through the glass at real bouquets, picks one on the touchscreen, pays by cash, card or phone, and the machine unlocks that one compartment in a few seconds. Wider Matrix builds ten models of this flower vending machine, from a 5-slot compact cabinet to a 24-slot showcase, all running the same 2 to 25°C cooling that florists use for storage. If you already run a flower shop and want a second sales point that never closes, or you are an operator looking for a machine with strong margins in a mall, hospital or train station, this is the machine you are sizing up.

How the machine works

The flower vending machine runs in four steps, and the customer does three of them alone.
  1. You load wrapped bouquets or single stems into the slots and the cooling holds them at 2 to 25°C.
  2. A customer browses the real bouquets through the glass and picks one on the touchscreen. What they see is what they buy.
  3. They pay by cash, card or phone, and the machine unlocks just that compartment, day or night.
  4. You top up the slots once a week, which takes 30 to 60 minutes. Per-slot sales and stock show up on your phone.

What keeps the flowers fresh

Cut flowers are the one product where freshness cannot be faked. A wilted rose is visible from across the room, so the whole cabinet is built around keeping every stem at florist temperature and keeping the glass clear. What keeps the flowers fresh
Feature What it does
Cooling 2 to 25°C, the same band florists use for storage
Insulation One-piece polyurethane foam cabinet holds a stable temperature
Airflow Circulating air cools every slot evenly
Anti-fog glass Electric dehumidification keeps the showcase clear
Locked compartments Each slot has its own lock, so only the paid bouquet opens
Flower-shaped dividers Decorative dividers make the interior look finished from the front
Bouquets are loaded pre-hydrated with water tubes or florist wrapping, the same way a florist delivers them. Each slot is a sealed, lit mini display case, protected from dust, knocks and drafts.

Models and prices

All ten flower vending machine models share the same platform: 2 to 25°C cooling, touchscreen control, sealed lit compartments and the same CE, FCC, RoHS, SGS and ISO 9001 certification. What changes is how many bouquets they hold, the screen size and the footprint. Models and prices

Those reference prices cover the base machine only; your final quote adds the payment modules for your market, shipping to your country, and any branding you want on the cabinet. If you are comparing this against other vending machines, our guide to how much a vending machine usually costs walks through where the money goes.

What it costs to run

After the flower vending machine itself, the running costs come down to flowers and wrapping. On the numbers we see, a bouquet that sells for $15 to $25 costs about $4 to $8 in flowers and wrap, leaving $10 to $17 gross per bouquet. In a mid foot-traffic location you might sell 10 to 30 bouquets a day, which works out to roughly $100 to $450 a day in gross profit, or $3,000 to $13,500 a month. Those are sample figures for illustration. What you actually make depends on your location, foot traffic, season and how you price the bouquets. For the wider picture, see how much money you can make in the vending machine business. Restocking takes one 30 to 60 minute visit a week in a normal season, or two to three visits a week around Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and similar peaks. The flowers arrive pre-hydrated, so there is no arranging on site.

Remote management

You run the flower vending machine from your phone. The system shows per-slot stock, per-slot sales and top-ups, and the live cabinet temperature. One person can run several machines from a single dashboard, which matters if you plan to place units in more than one location.

Certifications

Every model carries CE, FCC, RoHS, SGS and ISO 9001 certification. CE covers EU conformity, FCC covers the US, RoHS covers hazardous substance restrictions, SGS is third-party testing and inspection, and ISO 9001 is the quality management system. If a customs broker or a mall landlord asks for paperwork, mention it in your quote request and we will include the certificates for your market.

Where these machines make money

The flower vending machine earns in places where people need flowers quickly and outside shop hours. Gas stations catch drivers grabbing a bouquet on the way home, with peaks on weekends and holidays. Twenty-four hour convenience stores match the machine's round-the-clock schedule. In malls it sits near fashion, jewellery or the food court. Universities sell a lot of single stems. Hospitals need flowers at hours a florist is not open. Hotels and resorts sell same-day bouquets to guests, train and subway stations catch commuters, tourist attractions sell souvenir bouquets at strong margins in season, and office buildings carry the apology and celebration flowers. Before you sign a location agreement, read how to put a vending machine somewhere so you know what to negotiate.

Good machine, I buy for my flower shop in Manila. Shipping to Philippines was take almost 6 week and customs was little bit problem but WiderMatrix team help me with documents. Machine quality is very nice, look professional. The cooling system work good for flowers, stay fresh long time. Only thing I wish is the screen could be more bright in sunlight, sometime hard to see. But customer is buying, already make back some money in 2 month. Support team answer my question quick on WhatsApp. I give 4 star because shipping was slow but machine itself is 5 star quality.

so I've been wanting to start a little side business for AGES and finally pulled the trigger on this flower vending machine back in may. best decision ever?? placed it outside my cousin's salon in Austin and omg the girls that come in for appointments ALWAYS buy flowers on their way out, it's kind of hilarious. the machine itself is built like a tank, real sturdy, looks super modern too. had one issue with the card reader being finicky the first week but their support team walked me through it over a video call, super nice people. gotta say I was nervous about the whole thing but honestly it's been such a fun little income stream. my kids think I'm cool now lol
