French Fry Vending Machine for Sale: What the WM888 Is

The WM888 is a floor-standing automatic french fry vending machine built by Wider Matrix. It keeps frozen food at -3°C, fries it in two 10L oil tanks, drains the oil, closes it in a paper box and adds one of five sauces. The customer picks on a 27-inch touch screen, pays, watches through the window and walks off with the box. One order takes about 90 to 120 seconds, and the machine carries 173 servings before anyone has to touch it. This is not a countertop fryer with a card reader bolted to the side. Freezer, fryer, drainage conveyor, packaging module, sauce dispensers, screen and payment terminal all live inside one cabinet measuring 193 × 110 × 240 cm and weighing 650 kg. It takes roughly 2 m² of floor and runs on 220V or 380V. Restocking is the only routine job: frozen food into the freezer, paper boxes into the dispenser, sauce packs into the five channels. Buyers who ask us about this machine usually fall into two groups. Some already run vending equipment and want a hot food line that sells at a higher ticket than snacks and drinks. Others own or manage a venue, a mall, a park, a campus, a station, and want hot food moving in the hours when their kitchens are shut. If what you actually need is a small countertop fryer for a staffed kitchen, this is a bigger machine than you are shopping for. Price and shipping depend on where the machine is going and how many units you take, so the fastest route to a real number is sending us your destination and quantity.

How a Customer Buys a Box of Fries

The whole interaction is three steps, and none of them involve your staff.
  1. Choose the item and the sauce on the 27-inch touch screen. Five sauce flavors, mixed and matched by the customer.
  2. Pay. QR code, cash with coin change, or card, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  3. Wait and collect. The transparent window shows the entire cooking process, and the box is ready in about 90 to 120 seconds.
Behind the glass the sequence runs on its own: frozen storage, automatic conveying, precision frying, oil-draining conveying, automatic packaging, then sauce dispensing from whichever channel the customer picked. Operators tend to like the timing more than the technology. A machine like this keeps selling through the evening and the small hours, which is exactly when a staffed fry counter is closed and the rise of automated hot meals has been fastest.

Key Features and What They Mean in Daily Operation

  • 173 servings and 160 paper boxes per fill, so a busy site is not calling for a restock every hour.
  • Two 10L tanks frying at the same time, which is the difference between working one order at a time and holding a queue down.
  • Storage at -3°C. A colder holding temperature stretches the gap between restocks and cuts product loss in between.
  • 0°C to 180°C with three temperature sensors and intelligent constant control. Different items fry at different settings, and the sensors stop the oil from overshooting.
  • Initial fry plus re-fry, with oil drained before the box closes. That is how you get a crisp outside and a soft middle instead of a greasy box.
  • Five independent sauce channels holding 200 packs each. Ketchup, mayonnaise and BBQ sauce among them, dispensed per order rather than pre-mixed.
  • 85+ languages and screen space you can fill with your own images, video and advertising.
  • A product matrix that reaches past fries. Chicken wings, nuggets, popcorn chicken, onion rings, hash browns and squid rings all run on the same cabinet.
  • Custom stickers on the outside, so the machine can carry your brand instead of ours.

Versions and Pricing

The WM888 ships in one configuration, so there is no model ladder to work through. What changes with volume is the price you pay and the terms behind it.
1 unit List price US$9,800.00. Contact us for today's best price.
2 to 5 units Contact us for today's best price.
6 to 10 units Contact us for today's best price.
10+ units Contact us for today's best price.
Promotions change through the year, so the quote you get today can beat the list price above. A final quotation also moves with destination, shipping terms, customization requirements, local taxes and whatever promotion is running at the time. Send us your market and your order quantity and you will have our best offer in the reply.

Consumables and the Costs That Keep Running

Four things keep costing money after the machine is installed.
  • Frozen product: fries, wings, nuggets, onion rings or whatever mix you decide to sell. Your local supplier sets that price.
  • Paper boxes. The machine holds 160 at a time, and we supply replacements. Ask for bulk pricing when you order.
  • Sauce packs. Five channels, 200 packs each, refilled as they run down.
  • Oil. Change it approximately every 150 to 200 uses. Shortening, soybean oil, corn oil and peanut oil all work. Keep shortening at or below 200°C and soybean oil at or below 230°C.
Electricity is the last line item. Peak draw is 11,500W, so check what your site supply can carry before you sign a lease.

What the Backend Lets You See and Control

The machine reports back to a management system, which means you can run several units without driving to each one to find out how they are doing.
  • Live sales figures, order volume and a best-seller ranking, so you know what to keep stocked.
  • Stock monitoring with automatic low-stock reminders before you run out mid-shift.
  • Round-the-clock equipment status monitoring, with an alarm the moment something reads wrong.
  • Remote software upgrades over the air, which keeps maintenance visits down.

Voltage, Language, Payment and Certification

The machine accepts 220V and 380V at 50 to 60 Hz, so the same unit covers most markets without a rebuild. Interface languages run to 85+, customized free of charge. Payment covers QR codes, cash with coin change, credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, with other mainstream methods available on request. Certification depends on where the machine is going, so we confirm it per order rather than quoting one list for everyone. Tell us the destination country when you ask for a price and we will tell you exactly which certificates and documents ship with the unit.

Where the WM888 Sits Well

At 2 m² of floor space, a french fry vending machine fits where a fry counter would not. Shopping malls, cinema lobbies, theme parks, university and school campuses, airports and train stations, food courts, motorway service areas and 24-hour retail sites are the natural fits. What the machine needs on site is a suitable power supply and a level patch of floor, not a back-of-house kitchen. Placement does more for the payback than any feature on the spec sheet, and it is worth doing that homework before you order. Our guide to how to find locations for vending machines covers how to judge foot traffic, rent share and footfall timing before you commit.

Buying Direct from Wider Matrix

Wider Matrix builds the WM888 in our own factory. We assemble it, test it, pack it and ship it, which means spare parts and consumables come from the same place as the machine. Custom stickers, custom screen content and language builds are part of normal production for us, not a special project someone has to be talked into. That matters most when something goes wrong eighteen months in. When you buy through a reseller, the part still comes from the factory, only with an extra hand in the middle. If you are comparing suppliers, how to vet a vending machine manufacturer walks through the questions worth asking before you send a deposit.

What the Numbers Look Like on a Conservative Model

The table below is an illustration from our own spreadsheet, priced in RMB at an assumed ¥10 per serving. It is not a projection of your results. Swap in your own retail price and your own rent before you judge it.
Daily sales (assumed) 80 servings
Average order value (assumed) ¥10 per serving
Monthly revenue ¥24,000
Ingredient cost ¥7,200
Venue rent or revenue share ¥3,600
Energy consumption (estimated) ¥1,500
Total monthly cost ¥12,300
Monthly gross profit ¥11,700
Annualized gross profit ¥140,400
Static payback period 3 to 6 months
Actual performance depends on location, pricing, foot traffic and operating costs, and the numbers above assume all four work in your favour.

Next Step

Buying one french fry vending machine for a single site and buying ten for a rollout start the same way. Send us four things and you will get a working quotation back: your destination country and port, the number of units you are considering, the voltage and power available at your site, and what kind of location you have in mind. If you already have a target retail price and serving size, include those too. We will reply with pricing, shipping and lead time, and tell you honestly if the numbers look tight for your market. Use the contact form on this site or the sales email that brought you here. Quotations are usually answered within one business day.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the WM888 french fry vending machine cost?

One unit lists at US$9,800.00, and the volume tiers from two units upward are quoted on request because shipping and terms change the final figure. Promotions run through the year, so ask for today's price rather than working from the list number. If you are still deciding between machine types, our comparison of which vending machines make the most money is a useful sanity check before you commit to hot food.

Can it cook anything other than french fries?

Yes. The same cabinet runs chicken wings, nuggets, popcorn chicken, squid rings, onion rings and hash browns, and fries can be thin cut, thick cut or crinkle-cut. It is a multi-function hot food machine, not a single-item fryer.

How long does one order take?

About 90 to 120 seconds from payment to collection. The customer can watch the whole process through the transparent window, which cuts down on "where is my food" questions and makes the wait feel shorter.

How many servings before I have to restock?

173 servings, 160 paper boxes and 5 sauce channels at 200 packs each. Storage sits at -3°C with a control range up to 20°C, so the frozen side holds quality between visits.

What power supply does it need?

220V or 380V at 50 to 60 Hz, with a maximum draw of 11,500W. Send us your site details and we will confirm the supply requirement before delivery so your electrician can prepare.

How often do I change the oil, and which oil can I use?

Roughly every 150 to 200 uses. Shortening, soybean oil, corn oil and peanut oil are all suitable. Keep shortening at or below 200°C and soybean oil at or below 230°C.

How do customers pay?

QR code, cash with coin change, credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus other mainstream methods on request. Multi-currency and mobile payment coverage is one reason the machine travels well between markets.

Can I customize the screen, the branding and the language?

Yes. The 27-inch screen plays your images and video, custom stickers go on the cabinet, and 85+ languages come with free customization. Costs depend on how far you want to take it, and what a custom build costs explains where the money usually goes.

Does the machine need staff to operate?

No. Preparation, frying, draining, packaging and saucing all run without an operator. Staff are needed for restocking, cleaning and collection, and the backend tells you when those are due.

What is the lead time, minimum order and payment terms?

These depend on your destination, quantity and configuration, so we quote them with the price rather than publishing a number that would be wrong for half our buyers. Send us the details and you will get lead time and terms in the same reply.

What about warranty, spare parts and service?

Warranty terms and spare parts pricing are confirmed with your quotation. Because we manufacture the machine, replacement parts come from us directly rather than through a third party.

Can you ship to my country, and what about certification?

We export regularly, and voltage compatibility covers 220V and 380V markets. Tell us the destination country with your enquiry and we will confirm the shipping arrangement and the certification documents that go with the unit.

Ok so I was kinda skeptical about dropping this much cash on a vending machine but honestly? best decision I made this year. Put it in my auto shop waiting area and the thing just PRINTS money lol. Guys waiting for their cars literally buy fries every single visit. Setup was easy enough, took maybe 2 hours to get going. The machine itself feels solid, not cheap at all. WiderMatrix shipped it fast too, like 5 days to Phoenix. Only complaint is the touch screen could be a bit more responsive but whatever, it works.

well where do I even start... I run a small convenience store in rural Tennessee and decided to add this as a side income thing, my husband thought I was crazy but here we are 6 months later and the machine has been honestly great for business. People come in JUST for the fries now. The thing is though, and I gotta be honest here, the first month was kinda rough. Had some issues with the dispensing mechanism getting jammed, called support and they sent a replacement part free of charge which was nice. After that it's been smooth sailing. The fries are actually really good?? like better than some fast food places I've been to. My only real gripe is the cleaning process takes longer than I'd like, maybe 30 min once a week. But the profits make it worth it. Already made back what I spent. Would I recommend? yeah probably, just be prepared for some maintenance.

Beast machine. Period. Put it at my truck stop outside Dallas and the line for fries is longer than the gas line some days lol. WiderMatrix knows what they're doing with this one.

OMG I cannot say enough good things about this machine!!! I placed it in my laundromat in Miami and people are OBSESSED!! The smell of fresh fries while doing laundry lol it's genius. WiderMatrix was super helpful during the whole ordering process, answered like 100 questions from me. Shipping was fast, packaging was solid, no damage at all. The machine looks sleek too, very modern. My customers love it and honestly I love the extra income. Five stars all the way!!

Gotta say, I did my research before buying. Compared WiderMatrix with a couple other brands and went with the WM888 because of the price point and the features. No regrets. I installed it at my gym's snack area (I know, french fries at a gym sounds weird but people actually love it as a post-workout treat). Been running 4 months, zero issues so far. The quality of the fries is consistent, temperature control seems well calibrated. Support team is responsive, had a question about the payment system integration and they got back to me same day. Build quality is legit, feels commercial grade. Happy with the purchase.

I am from Su00e3o Paulo and buy this for my internet cafe. The machine work good, the fries is delicious. But I have some difficulty with the English manual, my English not perfect. WiderMatrix send me Portuguese version after I ask, which was nice. The machine arrive in good condition, no problem with shipping. My customer enjoy very much the hot fries while playing games. I think price is fair for what you get. Sometimes the machine make strange noise but support say is normal. I trust them. Good product.

So I've had this machine about 8 months now, placed it at my bowling alley in Portland. Overall it's been a solid earner, people love having hot fries while they bowl. BUT I do have some issues. The hopper capacity is smaller than I expected, I have to refill it 2-3 times a day during busy periods which is annoying. Also the card reader had to be replaced once already, WiderMatrix covered it under warranty but still was a hassle. On the positive side, the fries genuinely taste good, the machine is built tough, and it's been profitable since month 2. I'd give it 5 stars if not for the refilling issue. Still recommend it, just know what you're getting into.
