The Wider Matrix WM980 is a fully automatic cotton candy vending machine. A customer picks one of 36 designs on the touchscreen, pays by coin, cash, card or NFC, and the machine spins and serves the candy by itself. No one needs to stand there.

We build it in three versions. The WM980 is the main indoor unit for malls, cinemas and amusement centers. The WM980+ adds an ambient ring light and a sturdier metal cabinet. The WM668 is the outdoor unit, with a high-brightness screen and a rain-resistant roof.

Most buyers are vending operators, location owners and distributors setting up unmanned sweet stands in foot traffic. The specs, the pricing tiers and the two consumables are all below.

How the machine works

The customer only ever sees four steps on the screen.

1. Choose a design from the 36 patterns.
2. Pay by coin, cash, credit card or NFC.
3. The machine makes the candy on its own.
4. Collect it a minute later.

The touchscreen walks the customer through choosing, paying and waiting. The robotic arm and shaping knife handle the rest, so the operator does not train anyone or staff the unit.

What you get for the money

On the software side, the machine runs on Wider Matrix cloud control, so you check sales and stock remotely, switch languages for different sites and push over-the-air updates without driving out to the location.

Versions, differences and pricing

Three versions cover indoor, upgraded and outdoor placement. The prices below are for a single unit. Volume pricing applies at 3 to 5, 6 to 9 and 10+ units; contact us for the tier table.

In sugar terms, that works out to 8 kg of stock in the WM980, 12 kg in the WM980+ and 12 kg in the WM668, which sets how many servings you carry before a refill. Indoor placement, start with the WM980. Pick the WM980+ if you want the light ring and the heavier cabinet that survives rough foot traffic. Go with the WM668 only when the unit sits outside or under an open canopy, since that is the model built for weather.

Consumables and running costs

A cotton candy machine has exactly two consumables: sugar and paper sticks. That is the whole supply list, and both have volume breaks.

Sugar (cotton candy sugar)

The sugar comes in granules of 1.2 to 1.7 mm, six colors, with no powder residue. Flavors cover milk, banana, strawberry, blueberry, apple and grape.

Paper sticks

Sticks are 10 mm in diameter and 300 mm long. Default color is standard; custom patterns are available with a 10,000 pcs minimum.

Every candy uses one stick and 28 to 30 grams of sugar, so your per-serving material cost is straightforward to work out once you have the landed bag price to your port. Sugar and sticks both get cheaper as the order grows, which is why operators reorder in big batches.

Remote management and monitoring

You run the machine from a cloud dashboard. It reports sales and stock, switches languages for different sites, and takes over-the-air updates that deliver new patterns without a service call. The advertising screen is separate real estate: run your own promos on it, or sell the space to nearby businesses.

Where it fits

This machine earns its keep where families pause for a couple of minutes: shopping malls, amusement parks, cinemas, children’s playgrounds and event venues. The WM980 handles indoor placement, and the WM668 is the pick for outdoor plazas and open-air rides.
