Case Bot Vending Machine WM880 from $4,999 | Wider Matrix
1 / 6
The WM880 is the Wider Matrix case bot vending machine: a floor-standing cabinet that holds more than a thousand blank cases and UV prints a customer’s own photo onto one in minutes, unattended. Two print head versions are sold factory direct, the F1080 at US$4,999 and the i1600 at US$5,999 for one to three units, with a lossless upgrade path to the i3200 later. Below you will find the full specification table, what each version actually changes, the real consumable cost per case, the remote management software, the certifications, and the questions buyers ask before they wire money. If you only read one number, read the price of a blank case: at US$1.10 to US$1.30 in volume, that is what your margin is built on. Send us your quantity, destination port, and preferred print head and we will come back with a full quotation including shipping.
What the WM880 is
The WM880 is a self-service case bot vending machine built by Wider Matrix. A customer walks up, picks their phone model, sends over a photo, pays, and walks away with a printed case a few minutes later. There is no attendant, and there is no rack of finished designs to guess at, because every case inside the cabinet is blank until the moment someone orders it.

That is the actual reason operators buy one of these instead of stocking printed cases. A shop has to guess which artwork sells and then write off what does not. This cabinet carries 1,020 or 1,025 blank cases depending on the version and prints to order, so your inventory risk collapses into one plain SKU per phone model.
It is a proper floor unit, not a countertop box. It measures 1340 × 990 × 2170 mm and weighs 380 kg, so you need a reserved footprint, a level floor, and a liftgate or pallet jack on delivery day. Sort the space and the access route out before you order.

The voltage range matters more than buyers expect. A cabinet that accepts 110V to 220V can be configured for North America, Europe, most of Asia, or the Middle East without an external transformer, so the same machine ships to very different grids. At 410W the draw is modest, close to a small drinks fridge, so a normal mall kiosk outlet usually handles it. Confirm the plug type for your country with us before production, since that is a build setting and not something to patch on site.
How a customer orders a case
The flow on screen is four steps, and it is short enough that people complete it without instructions:

- Scan the QR code shown on the machine screen.
- Select the phone model, iPhone 16, iPhone 15, iPhone 11, Samsung, and so on.
- Upload the picture they want printed.
- Pay by coin, cash, card, NFC, or QR.
Printing runs through visual recognition with AI assisted positioning, so the artwork lands where the customer put it on screen instead of drifting off the edge. The practical result is a print that covers the case without a white border around it, which is the detail customers notice first and complain about fastest.
Restocking is mechanical. Lay the case flat with the back facing up, keep the stack under the red line marked inside the slot, then push it in. Add the optional inventory identification camera and the machine does the counting for you instead of you walking the slots by hand.
Print head options: F1080, i1600 and i3200
The cabinet is the same across the range. What changes is the print head, and the print head is what decides how many customers you can serve in an hour and how long the unit stays in service before the head needs attention.
| Version | Print head | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| F1080 (base) | Epson F1080-A1 | Photo resolution, fine detail, vivid color |
| i1600 (standard) | Epson i1600-U1 | Printing speed ×3, service life ×4, clarity ×2 against the F1080 |
| i3200 (upgrade) | Epson i3200-U1HD | Lossless upgrade from i1600 with further speed gain |
The upgrade path runs F1080 to i1600-U1 to i3200-U1HD, and every step is a lossless upgrade. You are not throwing the machine away to move up, which is the part worth thinking about if you are starting with one unit and unsure about volume. There is a full WM880 review and buyer’s guide if you want the longer comparison before deciding.

On choosing: if the machine is going into a moderate traffic spot and your budget is tight, the F1080 at US$4,999 leaves more money for cases and rent, and its output is what most customers will be happy with. If the spot generates queues, an airport hall, a busy mall atrium, a theme park gate, the i1600 throughput is what keeps the line moving instead of stalling. Operators running several units tend to go i1600 or the i3200 upgrade, because a head that lasts four times longer matters a lot more when you have five machines out and only one technician.
Pricing and what each version includes
Both versions below are quoted factory direct for one to three units. Options are added on top.
| Version | Print head | Case capacity | Price, 1 to 3 units |
|---|---|---|---|
| WM880 F1080 version | Epson F1080-A1 | 1,020 pcs | US$4,999.00 |
| WM880 i1600 version | Epson i1600-U1 | 1,025 pcs | US$5,999.00 |
Two options can be added to either version. The inventory identification function, a camera module mounted on top of the machine, costs US$200 (¥1350) and takes over stock counting. On the i1600 version, the lossless upgrade to the i3200-U1HD print head costs US$680 (¥5000).
Quantity pricing above three units is quoted per order rather than published, because freight and configuration move with the destination and the size of the run. Tell us how many you want and where they are going and we will price four to six, seven to ten, and eleven plus properly. If you want to see how the machine cost stacks up against rent, shipping and the first case order, the full cost breakdown of a phone case vending machine walks through the numbers in detail.
Consumables and what each case costs you
Your ongoing spend is blank cases and ink. Cases are TPU + PC composite and come in a standard version and a magnetic version, priced by order size:
| Quantity | Standard case | Magnetic case |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 pcs | US$1.30 / pc | US$2.30 / pc |
| 5,000 pcs | US$1.20 / pc | US$2.20 / pc |
| 8,000 pcs | US$1.10 / pc | US$2.10 / pc |
Buying 8,000 instead of 1,000 drops a standard case from US$1.30 to US$1.10, so the first big decision after the machine is how much case stock you can afford to sit on. Magnetic cases run about a dollar more across every tier and sell better to customers with newer phones, so most operators stock both.
Ink is Epson UV hard ink. The standard version runs a four color set at US$100.00 per set, and the F1080 version runs six colors at US$160.00 per set. The tank holds 2,000 ml. We do not quote a single cost per case for ink because coverage depends on how much of the case your customer’s artwork actually fills, but send us the mix you expect and we will work it out against your local selling price.
Remote management and monitoring
The software runs on a browser and on a phone app, and it is the difference between operating one machine and operating ten. From wherever you are, you can see:
- Stock levels per slot, when the inventory identification camera is fitted
- Sales by day, week and month with charts
- Every order and its status
- Printer state, alarms and connectivity in real time
- Promotions, including discount rules, time windows and quantity limits
- Currency and language settings for your market
The interface supports English, Russian, French, Arabic, Korean and others, and currency is configurable, so the same cabinet can be dropped into a market where nobody reads English and still sell. Promotions are worth using early: a weekend discount or a limited quantity offer is set in the back end, not by standing at the machine.
Case quality and phone coverage
Cases are TPU + PC composite, which is the combination that flexes enough to snap on without cracking and still takes a UV print cleanly. There are two optional lens cover protection designs, and the structure is shaped so cases load into the slots quickly rather than fighting you during restock.
Coverage runs across Apple (iPhone 16, iPhone 15, iPhone 11 and the rest of the current range), Samsung, Google Pixel, Xiaomi, Huawei and OPPO. Before you order, check the model mix in your country: a location where Oppo and Xiaomi dominate needs a different stock split than a location where iPhone does, and the case order is where that is decided.
Certifications
The WM880 carries CCC (China Compulsory Certification), CE for the European Union, ISO, RoHS, and PSE for the Japanese market. Wider Matrix also holds more than five independent R&D patents and has taken 30+ industry awards. If your market needs a specific certificate on the paperwork before customs clears it, tell us at quotation stage so we can confirm what is available for that destination.
Where these machines work
Placement decides more than configuration does. The same cabinet can do nothing for a month in a quiet corridor and pay for itself in a shopping centre atrium, so the shortlist of spots worth checking is the one with people who are already waiting: mall walkways near food courts, cinema lobbies, airport departure halls, university campuses, tourist streets, theme park exits, and phone repair shops where the customer is already thinking about their phone.
Two things to settle with the site before signing. Power and network first, since the machine needs a stable connection for payments and for the remote back end you will be checking from home. Foot traffic pattern second, evening and weekend, not just a daily average. If the machine is going into a shopping centre, the notes in what operators should check before installing one in a mall cover the questions landlords ask about footprint, power draw and insurance.
Operators who have not run an unattended printing business before usually want the commercial side spelled out as well as the hardware. The guide to starting a DIY phone case vending business covers pricing, placement and the first stock order from the operator’s side.
Buying from Wider Matrix
Wider Matrix builds the WM880 and sells it direct, so the price on the quotation is the factory price rather than a distributor’s markup. Two practical things follow from buying a case bot vending machine straight from the factory. Configuration is settled before the machine is built, including voltage, plug type, language set and whether the inventory camera goes on. And the print head upgrade path stays open afterwards, so a machine bought as an F1080 does not lock you out of faster printing when your location proves busier than expected.
Support runs 7×24 with people answering rather than a ticket queue, and the remote back end means a lot of problems get diagnosed without a site visit. If you are weighing a manufacturer against a local reseller, or weighing us against another factory, the write-up on where to buy a phone case vending machine lays out what to ask each of them.
Get a quotation
Tell us three things and we can price it properly: how many units you want, the destination port or address, and which print head you are leaning toward. Add the phone model mix for your market if you want the first case order included in the same quote.
You will get the machine price for your quantity tier, the options you asked for, shipping to your destination, and the warranty and spare parts terms in writing. If you would rather see the machine running before you commit, ask for a demonstration and we will arrange one.

User Reviews
4.8 ★ (9 reviews)ok so I was kinda nervous dropping 5k on a vending machine but honestly? its been worth every penny. put it in my auto shop waiting room and the thing basically runs itself. customers love it, I'm making about $200-300 a week profit which is insane for basically doing nothing. setup took maybe 2 hours with my brother in law helping. build quality is solid, feels commercial grade not like those flimsy ones on amazon. only complaint is the instructions could be better, had to call support once and they were actually helpful which surprised me lol. would def recommend if you got a good location
Good machine overall, I buy for my warehouse business in Dallas area. Delivery was little slow, took about 3 weeks when they said 2. But machine itself work very good, no problems after 4 months. My employees happy because before they had to drive 10 min for snacks. One thing I wish - the screen could be more bright, in my warehouse lighting it little hard to see sometimes. But sales are steady and WiderMatrix respond quick when I had question about payment system setup. I give 4 star because shipping delay cost me some time but product is quality.
Man where do I even start. So I've been wanting to get into passive income for like 2 years now and finally pulled the trigger on the WM880. Best decision I've made for my family tbh. Placed it at a apartment complex gym here in Phoenix, property manager was cool with it once I showed her the insurance docs. First week was slow but now 3 months in I'm clearing $400+ some weeks!! The machine looks super clean and modern, people literally text me asking what brand it is. My wife thinks I'm genius now haha. Gotta shoutout the WiderMatrix team, they walked me through everything over the phone. If you're on the fence just do it, but MAKE SURE you have a good location secured first that's the real key.
Honestly didn't expect much but this thing is a tank. I've had cheaper machines before and they always break down or the card reader craps out. WM880 has been running 6 months straight zero issues. The cashless payment system alone is worth it, I'd say 80% of my sales are card/apple pay. I stock it twice a week, takes 15 mins tops. My only regret is not buying two of them at the same time when they had that promo going. Thinking about getting a second one for a laundromat I'm looking at. 10/10 machine fr
So I manage a small office building in Atlanta and decided to get this instead of using those snack delivery services. Big upgrade honestly. The machine arrived well packaged, no dents or anything. My maintenance guy set it up in about 90 minutes. What I really like is the remote monitoring, I can check inventory from my phone which saves me so many trips. Had one small issue with the cooling sensor being too sensitive but support sent a replacement part free within a week. Been running perfect since. The tenants are happy and I'm actually making more than what the snack service was charging me. Win win.
Bought this for my barbershop, figured my customers would grab drinks while waiting. I was RIGHT lol. First weekend I made like $80 just from energy drinks and water. Machine looks really sleek, the black finish fits my shop aesthetic perfectly. Payment system works smooth, had one guy try to use a bent dollar bill and it rejected it but card payments go through every time no problem. Only thing is it's a little heavier than I expected, needed two people to move it into position. But once it's placed you don't need to move it so whatever. Really happy with this purchase, already telling my barber friends about it
I am from Toronto, purchased this machine for my condo building amenity area. Shipping to Canada was extra cost and took longer than expected, about 4 weeks total. The machine itself is very good quality, much better than I see in most places here. Sales are decent, maybe $150-200 per week. The app for monitoring sometimes disconnect but reconnects after minute or two, small annoyance. I wish they had Canadian support number instead of only email but they do respond within 24 hours. Overall I am satisfied, the machine pays for itself slowly but surely. Giving 4 stars because of the shipping cost to Canada and app issues, otherwise solid product.
OKAY so I was one of those people who read like 100 reviews before buying and let me tell you, just buy it already. I put this in a break room at my trucking company in Ohio and my drivers are OBSESSED. They love not having to leave the yard for snacks and drinks. I stock it with their favorite stuff and they basically fund the machine themselves lol. The profit margin is crazy, I buy stuff at Costco and mark it up, easy money. WiderMatrix was great to deal with, no pushy sales stuff, just straight answers. Delivery guy was professional too. Machine has been bulletproof so far, 7 months no service calls needed. Can't recommend enough!!
Been doing vending for about 5 years now, had machines from 3 different companies. The WM880 is by far the best one I've owned. The thing that sets it apart is the reliability honestly, my other machines needed service like every 2-3 months. This one's been 9 months and not a single issue. The compressor is quiet too, I have it in a library building and nobody complains about noise. Sales tracking software is decent, could use some updates but it gets the job done. If you're serious about vending business this is the machine to get. I'm actually selling my older machines and replacing them with more of these. Yeah it's pricier upfront but you save so much on repairs and lost sales from downtime. Worth it.
