China Phone Case Vending Machine | WM880 Factory Price

The WM880 prints a customer’s own photo or artwork onto a phone case inside an unattended cabinet. It holds more than 1,000 blank cases, takes coin, cash, card, NFC and QR payments, and comes in two print head versions starting at US$4,999. If you are comparing suppliers for a mall, airport, campus or retail portfolio, send us the country and the location type and we will come back with the right version, the landed cost and the tier price that applies to your order quantity.

What the WM880 phone case vending machine is

The WM880 is a self-service machine that prints a customer’s own photo or design onto a phone case while they stand in front of it. No operator, no laptop, no heat press. The customer scans the QR code on the screen, chooses the phone model, uploads a picture, pays, and the Epson print head inside the cabinet prints the case and releases it.

China Phone Case Vending Machine

Wider Matrix builds the WM880 in China and sells it direct to operators, importers and distributors. Two versions come out of the same cabinet: the base F1080 and the standard i1600-U1. Both hold more than 1,000 blank cases, run on 110V to 220V, and accept coin, cash, credit card, NFC and QR payment. The machine measures 1340 × 990 × 2170 mm and weighs 380 kg, so pick a spot with the floor space and the clearance behind it for restocking.

Most purchase decisions come down to four things: how many cases it holds, which print head is inside, what restocking costs per case, and who fixes the printer when it throws an alarm. The pages below cover each of those with the actual figures.

WM880 technical specifications

Model WM880
Input voltage 110V to 220V
Power consumption 410W
Dimensions (W × D × H) 1340 × 990 × 2170 mm
Weight 380 KG
Ink capacity 2000 ml
Payment methods Coin, cash, credit card, NFC, QR payment
Case storage 1020 pcs (F1080 version), 1025 pcs (i1600-U1 version)
Case material TPU + PC composite
Print heads available Epson F1080-A1, Epson i1600-U1, Epson i3200-U1HD
Management PC dashboard plus mobile APP, remote monitoring

Two numbers on that list matter more than the rest once the machine is on site. The 2000 ml ink reservoir is large for a machine this size, which means fewer refill visits than the photo kiosks that carry small cartridges. The 380 kg weight is a shipping and handling issue as much as a stability one: it needs a pallet, a forklift or a team of four at the delivery address, and it is heavy enough that you will want to position it once and leave it there.

How a customer buys a case

  1. Scan. The customer scans the QR code shown on the machine screen to start an order.
  2. Choose the phone model. iPhone 16, iPhone 15, iPhone 11 and the other models you have stocked appear on the screen.
  3. Upload a picture. They send a photo or artwork from their phone for printing on the case.
  4. Pay. Coin, cash, credit card, NFC or QR, whichever methods you have enabled for your market.

Then the machine prints. From an operator’s point of view, the interesting part is step two. The models that show up on the screen are the models you loaded into the slots, so the mix you stock decides what you can sell. A location full of teenagers and a location full of office workers need different stock ratios, and the revenue statement in the dashboard is what tells you which slots are moving and which ones are sitting still.

What you are paying for in a WM880

What you are paying for in a WM880

  • Optional inventory identification. A camera module fitted on top of the machine counts what is left in each slot and reports it to the dashboard. It costs an extra US$200 (¥1350) and it removes the guesswork about which case to bring on the next restocking run. Without it, you count by eye.
  • Storage for more than 1,000 cases. That is a real number on a machine that fits in a 1340 × 990 mm footprint. It means you can leave a high-traffic site alone for days instead of refilling every morning.
  • Print visual recognition. The printing path uses AI-assisted positioning to line the image up on the case, so you are not pulling out cases with a white border down one side or a picture sitting off-centre.
  • Round-the-clock support. After-sales runs 7×24 with real people on the other end, which is the part most buyers only care about the week something breaks.

The payment stack is worth a mention too, because it decides where the machine can go. Coin, cash, card, NFC and QR are all supported, so the same cabinet works in a cash-heavy market and in a cashless one without swapping hardware.

Print head options and machine pricing

Three Epson print heads are available for the WM880, and the difference between them is not cosmetic.

Print head options and machine pricing

Print head Position What it changes
Epson F1080-A1 Base Strong photo resolution, clear detail and vivid colour. The entry option.
Epson i1600-U1 Standard Three times the printing speed of the F1080, four times the lifespan, twice the clarity.
Epson i3200-U1HD Upgrade Lossless upgrade from the i1600 with an additional step up in printing speed.

The upgrade path runs in one direction and nothing is thrown away: F1080 to i1600-U1 to i3200-U1HD, all lossless. If you start with the F1080 and the site turns out busier than you planned, you are not buying a second machine, you are buying a print head.

Order quantity WM880 F1080 version WM880 i1600-U1 version
1 to 3 units US$4,999.00 US$5,999.00
4 to 6 units Tier pricing, ask for a quotation Tier pricing, ask for a quotation
7 to 10 units Tier pricing, ask for a quotation Tier pricing, ask for a quotation
11 units and above Tier pricing, ask for a quotation Tier pricing, ask for a quotation

Options that sit on top of the unit price:

Optional inventory identification (camera module on top of the machine) + US$200 / ¥1350
Upgrade the i1600-U1 print head to i3200-U1HD + US$680 / ¥5000

Which version to take depends on throughput, not on budget alone. A single unit in a shopping centre with moderate footfall runs fine on the F1080. An airport, a busy exhibition venue or any site where a queue forms on weekends is where the i1600 earns its US$1,000 premium, because three times the printing speed is three times the number of customers you can serve in the same hour. Sites that run hard every day are the ones that need the i3200. If you are still weighing the WM880 against other cabinets on the market, we put the main phone case vending machine options side by side here.

Cases and ink: what you restock, and what it costs

The WM880 prints on TPU + PC composite cases. They come with two optional lens cover protection designs, and the structure is built so the customer can fit the case quickly and you can reload a slot quickly. Model coverage includes Apple (iPhone 16, iPhone 15, iPhone 11 and others), Samsung, Google Pixel, Xiaomi, Huawei and OPPO.

Cases and ink: what you restock, and what it costs

Case quantity Standard case Magnetic case
1,000 pcs US$1.30 / pc US$2.30 / pc
5,000 pcs US$1.20 / pc US$2.20 / pc
8,000 pcs US$1.10 / pc US$2.10 / pc
Ink set Type Price
Standard configuration Epson UV hard ink, 4 colours US$100.00 / set
F1080 version Epson UV hard ink, 6 colours US$160.00 / set

Tell us which print head you are running when you order ink, because the F1080 takes a six-colour set and the standard configuration takes four. Case cost per sale starts at US$1.10 and bottoms out there at the 8,000 piece tier; magnetic cases, which hold better to magnetic mounts and car holders, cost about a dollar more each. Ink cost per printed case depends on how much of the surface your designs cover, so ask us for that figure against the artwork you expect to sell. If you want the full arithmetic on machine cost, case cost, ink and what a site actually returns, the business model walkthrough breaks it down line by line.

Loading is deliberately simple. Lay the case flat with the back facing up, keep the stack under the red line indicator, and push it into the slot. Staff can be trained on it in a few minutes, which matters if the machine is in a site where you rely on mall staff or a local partner to top it up.

Management system and remote monitoring

Management system and remote monitoring

The machine reports to a PC dashboard and a mobile APP, so you can check a site without visiting it. What you get:

  • Inventory identification, when the optional camera module is installed: live stock levels slot by slot.
  • Revenue statement: daily, weekly and monthly sales with charts.
  • Order status: full order history and tracking.
  • Machine status: live view of printer operation, alarms and connectivity.
  • Promotion activity settings: discount rules, time windows and quantity limits.
  • Basic settings, currency setting and language settings.

The interface runs in English, Russian, French, Arabic, Korean and other languages, and multi-currency support means you can put the same machine into different markets without a software change. For operators running more than a couple of units, the alarm feed is the feature that saves the most money, because a machine that has stopped printing and a machine that is sold out look identical from the outside. If remote fleet management is central to how you plan to run things, there is a longer write-up on cloud-based phone case vending machines here.

Certifications and build standards

The WM880 carries CCC (China Compulsory Certification), CE for the EU, ISO, RoHS and PSE for Japan. Wider Matrix holds more than 5 independent R&D patents, including KC, CE and PSE related patents, and more than 30 industry awards.

Practically speaking, the CE and RoHS documentation is what your importer or customs broker will ask for in Europe, and PSE is what you need for Japan. Ask us for the certificate files before you ship and we will send them in the format your market requires.

Where a WM880 earns its keep

The machine suits any location where people have five minutes to wait and a phone in their hand. Shopping centres and mall corridors are the classic placement, and the operators who do well there usually negotiate a spot near food courts or cinemas rather than in a quiet wing. Exhibition centres and trade shows generate short, intense bursts of traffic where a fast print head matters more than anything else. Airports, train stations and coach terminals have the footfall but need a site survey for power and access. University campuses, office building lobbies, entertainment venues, tourist attractions and phone accessory shops all work on the same logic: the machine has to be where the queue already is.

Where a WM880 earns its keep

What usually decides the location is not the concept but the logistics. Confirm three things before you sign a lease: a 110V or 220V supply that can handle 410W continuously, a delivery route that can move 380 kg to the final position, and permission to open the cabinet for restocking during the site’s operating hours. Get those three answered and the rest is straightforward. We have a separate piece on the practical checks for installing a phone case vending machine in a mall if that is the site you are working on.

Buying from Wider Matrix

Wider Matrix is the manufacturer, not a trading company passing your order to someone else. The WM880 is built in our own factory in China and sold direct, which is why the F1080 version starts at US$4,999 rather than the price you see once two layers of middlemen have added their margin. If you are sourcing a China phone case vending machine and want to talk to the people who actually assemble it, this guide on where to buy a phone case vending machine covers what to check before you commit.

Buying from Wider Matrix

OEM and private-label orders, custom language packs, currency setups and stock configurations for your market are all things we handle. Tell us the country, the site and the quantity and we will confirm exactly what can be adapted rather than guessing. Shipping terms, payment terms, lead time, warranty length and minimum order quantity are quoted per order, so ask us for details on your specific configuration instead of relying on a generic figure.

After the machine lands, support runs 7×24, remote diagnostics happen through the dashboard, and spare parts are stocked from the factory. For a distributor, that combination matters more than the specification sheet: you are not just buying a cabinet, you are buying something you can keep running for a customer three years from now.

Send us your requirement and get a quotation

If the WM880 looks like the machine you need, the fastest way to a firm number is to send us four things: the country and city the machine is going to, the type of location, how many units you want, and which print head version you are considering. Add the phone models you plan to stock and whether you want the inventory identification module, and we can quote the machine, the consumables and the freight together instead of in pieces.

Leave your contact details and requirement through the contact form on our site, or reply on whichever channel you reached us through. Quotes go out with the tier price that applies to your quantity, the certified specification sheet, and the certification files your market needs for import.

Product FAQ

How much does a WM880 phone case vending machine cost?

The F1080 version is US$4,999.00 and the i1600-U1 version is US$5,999.00 for orders of one to three units. From four units upward, pricing moves to tiers, so contact us for details on the band your quantity falls into. The optional inventory identification module adds US$200 (¥1350), and upgrading an i1600-U1 to the i3200-U1HD print head adds US$680 (¥5000).

What is the difference between the F1080 and the i1600-U1?

Both run in the same cabinet and both print full-colour cases. The i1600-U1 prints about three times faster, lasts around four times longer and produces roughly double the clarity. The i1600-U1 version also stores 1025 cases against 1020 on the F1080 version. The F1080 is the sensible choice for one machine in a moderate-traffic site; the i1600-U1 is the one to take where throughput decides your daily revenue. If you want a wider comparison of what is on the market before you decide, our phone case vending machine cost breakdown sets out what each tier of machine actually buys you.

Can I upgrade the print head after I buy?

Yes. F1080 to i1600-U1 to i3200-U1HD all work as lossless upgrades, so nothing you paid for is discarded. Moving an i1600-U1 up to the i3200-U1HD costs US$680 (¥5000).

How much does it cost to print one phone case?

The blank case is the biggest line item: US$1.30 each for standard cases at 1,000 pieces, dropping to US$1.10 at 8,000 pieces, with magnetic cases roughly a dollar more per piece. Ink adds a smaller amount that depends on how much of the case your designs cover, and the ink itself is US$100 per four-colour set or US$160 per six-colour set. Send us your typical artwork and we will work out the ink cost per case for you.

Can I build my own phone case vending machine instead?

You can, and people do, but count what it takes: a printer, a cabinet, payment hardware, the software that ties it together, case stock, and a support plan for when a customer's payment goes through and no case comes out. Building it is a project; buying it is a purchase. The WM880 arrives assembled, with the printing, payment and management layers already integrated and tested together, which is usually why operators who tried the DIY route end up buying a cabinet in the end.

Is UV printing or 3D printing better for selling phone cases?

For on-demand retail, UV printing wins on the two things that matter: colour and speed. It reproduces a full-colour photo on a ready-made TPU + PC case in one pass, while 3D printing builds a case layer by layer, which is slow per unit and limited in colour. In a vending context, where the customer is standing there waiting, 3D printing is the wrong tool for volume work.

Which phone models does it support?

Apple models including iPhone 16, iPhone 15 and iPhone 11, plus Samsung, Google Pixel, Xiaomi, Huawei and OPPO. Popular models are stocked as standard; tell us the models you need for your market and we will confirm availability.

Do I need a licence or permit to run one?

That depends on your country, your city and the site owner, and it is worth checking before you commit to a location. The machine itself carries CCC, CE, ISO, RoHS and PSE certification, and we will send the documentation you need for your landlord, customs or local authority. Rules on cash handling and cashless payments also vary by market, so confirm those locally.

What is the lead time, and how is the machine shipped?

Lead time, shipping method and freight cost depend on your destination port, the order quantity and the configuration. It is quoted per order, so send us the delivery city and quantity and we will give you the figure rather than a range that does not apply to you.

What support do I get after delivery?

After-sales support is available 7×24. Remote diagnosis runs through the dashboard and the mobile APP, so most printer and payment issues can be traced without a site visit, and spare parts ship from the factory. Warranty terms are confirmed with your quotation.

ok so I buy this machine for my phone shop in Manila, was worried at first because shipping from China take almost 3 week. but when arrive, wow the build quality is very solid!! my customers love buying phone cases from it, I put it outside my shop and even at night people buying. already make back about 40% of cost in two month. very happy with purchase, only wish the screen was little bigger but honestly not a big deal. WiderMatrix team was helpful when I ask about restocking procedure

Honestly didn't know what to expect ordering a vending machine online lol. I'm a high school teacher in Austin and wanted a side income thing. Got this placed in a barber shop my buddy owns and man... it's been awesome. The WM880 is super easy to stock, the app lets me track sales from my phone during lunch break. Sold 23 cases last week alone!! Gotta say the touchscreen looks premium, people think it's way more expensive than it was. 10/10 would buy again

Machine works well overall, setup was kinda confusing at first and the manual could be better ngl. Once I figured it out though it's been smooth sailing. I stock it with $5-8 phone cases and sell for $15-20, decent margins. Had one issue with the payment reader after about a month but WiderMatrix support got back to me within a day and sent a replacement part. Docking one star for the manual situation but otherwise solid machine

well I was kinda skeptical about buying a vending machine from china but yeah... this thing is built like a tank. I do markets on weekends here in Portland and needed something portable-ish, the WM880 is heavy but movable. What surprised me most is how reliable it's been, zero downtime in 4 months. The cashless payment system works flawlessly with both Apple Pay and cards. My wife thought I was crazy spending this much but now she wants another one for her office building lol. Only minor thing is I wish there was more variety in the case sizes it can hold, mostly fits standard sizes but bigger phones need some adjustment. Still 5 stars from me

I am from Jakarta and I purchase this WM880 for my cafe. The machine is good quality and my customers really like it. But shipping cost was quite expensive to Indonesia and customs took long time, maybe 5 weeks total. Machine itself I give 5 star but the delivery experience 3 star so overall 4. WiderMatrix did communicate well throughout though, they respond on WhatsApp quickly. Sales are ok, maybe 2-3 cases per day, not huge but it pays for itself slowly. Would recommend if you have good location
